‘You Were on My Mind’ in the Foothills
We Five founding singer/multi–instrumentalist Jerry Burgan traces a journey that began in a church choir and connects with Foothills community artists such as John Stewart and Terry Kirkman. His 2014 memoir “Wounds to Bind,” co-authored by Alan Rifkin, tells the story.

Up and at ‘em: Work that spring home checklist

Inland Valley Hope Partners has been providing services to those living in poverty since its inception in 1968. A faith-based, non-profit agency, Inland Valley Hope Partners provides food, short-term shelter and other supportive services to more than 75,000 men, women and children each year.

CVUSD students qualify for state contest
The FCCLA Region 10 meeting and competition featured 10 competitions and was attended by nearly 200 people, including more than 100 students and their advisors. Region 10 includes the counties of San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial. Students from as far away as Calexico, near the Mexican border, attended.

Tree Speak: Claremont’s Urban Forest
