Claremont, La Verne and Glendora

Community meetings continue this week for the Foothill Gold Line light rail project from Glendora to Montclair. The project will break ground in October, and will add new stations in Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair.

Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority invites the public to learn the latest about the Project’s timeline, what to expect during construction, the latest station and parking plans, public art and how to stay updated. All meetings will display the same information.

There will be no formal presentation; arrive any time between 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The meetings will be:

Monday, July 24 –Alexander Hughes Community Center 1700 Danbury Road, Claremont.

Thursday,Aug. 3 – Hillcrest Retirement Community 2705 Mountain View Drive, La Verne.

Monday,Aug. 7 – Glendora Library, Bidwell Forum 140 S. Glendora Ave., Glendora.

Project representatives will be available to answer questions regarding:

Stations – See the latest station layouts and 3D models.

Station Art – See station art components and how each city’s history is reflected.

Project Schedule – Learn the Project’s timeline and upcoming milestones.

Construction – Learn what is to be expected during construction in each neighborhood.

The project will take up to nine years to complete and is being funded by Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.

The portion of the project within L.A. County (Glendora to Claremont) is being funded by Metro’s Measure M and Measure R. The portion from Claremont to Montclair is being funded by San Bernardino County.
