The Kiwanis Club of Glendora Kiwaniannes will host a membership meeting Sept. 6 at Rubel Castle from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost to attend and feast on a tri tip dinner is $20. Women in the community are invited to attend.

The Kiwaniannes, chartered as a club in 1984, meets in friendship and raises funds for scholarships for local students, grants for teachers to bring art into the classroom, and supports other nonprofit organizations.

The club’s main fund raisers include a Designer Bag Bingo event in the fall and a Community Tea in the spring.

At the Sept. 6 meeting, guests will be able to take a guided tour through Rubel Castle, a large structure built completely of rocks from the area and furnished with antiques, memorabilia and novelty items. The castle was built by Michael Rubel and is run by the Glendora Historical Society.

To access the flier with more information about the meeting, go to the Kiwanianne website at www.glendorakiwaniannes.org.
