MARCH 8 Cal Poly Pomona University “Sacred Music for the Soul,” 8 p.m., Thursday, March 8, La Verne Church of the Brethren, 2425 E St., La Verne. Directed by Dr. Nike St. Clair, the University Concert Choir, Kellogg Chamber Singers, Alumni Choir, Chamber Orchestra and guest instrumentalists will present a program that includes Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Requiem by Maurice Durufle. The concert will feature soloists Susan Ali, messo-soprano, and Chung-Uk Lee, bass.
MARCH 10 Claremont Chorale G.F. Handel: Messiah, parts 2 and 3, 3 p.m., March 10, Bridges Hall of Music, Pomona College, 150 E. Fourth St., Claremont. Parts 2 and 3 of Messiah present “the rest of the story”, not the familiar Christmas portion. Professional soloists and chamber orchestra join the Chorale to present the most beloved work in the

Windsong Southland Chorale “Sacred

MARCH 12 Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band “Las
Vegas Show Stoppers,” 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, Merton Hill
Auditorium on the campus of Chaffey High School in Ontario, 5th Street
and Euclid Ave. Early birds are invited to come at 7 p.m. to enjoy
complimentary cookies and coffee and listen to the “Woodwind
Celebration,”
a clarinet ensemble comprised of members from the Show Band, in the
lobby of the auditorium. The performance features Show Band musician Tom
“Elvis” Hill, who will be in character to sing a collection of Elvis
Presley hits that include “Jailhouse Rock,” Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound
Dog,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Viva Las Vegas.” Tom has been competing in
Elvis festivals in Las Vegas for the past several years. For more
