West End Y has kicked off its annual community support campaign.

Every day, the West End Y serves as a gathering place for the community. Kids pour in after school to play and do homework. Seniors connect with one another through exercise classes and group activities. Families learn how to eat healthy and grow together. Drowning Prevention happens daily through our progressive swim classes.

As a leading charity focused on strengthening community, financial gifts to the Y will help advance programs and services that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. More importantly, gifts to the West End Y stay in the community, having a direct impact on residents right here on the west side of San Bernardino County.

“Through our annual support campaign, we want to educate people that we are more than a place to go to exercise or swim, but an organization that does vital work, thanks to the support of the community,” said Heidi Burns, Campaign Chair, West End Y.

This year, the West End Y hopes to raise $260,000. Funds raised will support these initiatives: Fall Prevention for seniors, Obesity Prevention for youth and teens, Thriving Kids and opportunities, Drowning Prevention for youth, and kids need camp.
