If you make one donation this holiday season, make it to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the one thing we never give up is hope.
Anywhere that children are receiving care for life threatening cancers, heart defects, brain disorders, spinal deformities and more, you can see the impact of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the No. 1 hospital for children in the West.
When other hospitals and caregivers run out of options, they often turn to the experts at CHLA’s main campus on Sunset Boulevard, or at one of its regional outpatient centers in Arcadia, Encino, Santa Monica, South Bay and Valencia. Families travel to CHLA from all 50 states and as many as 25 countries to receive the very best in pediatric treatments.
Children’s Hospital delivers lifesaving, family centered care to one in every 20 children in Los Angeles. These children benefit from the work of The Saban Research Institute of CHLA — where scientists discover leading-edge therapies that the physicians can then apply to patients at the bedside. This year, CHLA joined other pioneering hospitals
to deliver the most novel treatments: personalized medicine and genome sequencing to put pediatric cancers in remission; gene therapy to treat congenital blindness; and a clinical trial aiming to use a newborn’s own stem cells to care for a life-threatening heart defect.
“Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has one goal – helping and healing sick kids. We achieve this with community support,” says CHLA President and CEO Paul S. Viviano. “And with 350 programs and services just for children, we’re prepared to help children recover faster.”
Every gift counts. CHLA is the community’s safetynet hospital, providing nationally recognized care for all children. It bridges the gap between the cost of medical needs of the patients and the reimbursements received through the generosity of individuals and families, one gift at time. Together, this creates hope and builds healthier futures for courageous kids who need your support.
