  SUMMER CONCERTS RETURN TO FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE Fremont Street Experience is lighting up downtown Las Vegas with its seventh annual Rock of Vegas free summer concert series. Featuring a diverse lineup of hit-makers, the Rock of Vegas concerts are free and open to the public. On June 13, a trio of ’80s
new wave bands — the Smithereens, the Tubes and the Motels — hit the
stage. Wellcultivated ’80s playlists will include songs like “A Girl
Like You” from the Smithereens, “Talk to Ya Later” from the Tubes
featuring Fee Waybill and “Only the Lonely” from the Motels featuring
Martha Davis. Smash
Mouth & Toad the Wet Sprocket hit the stage June 27. Rockers Smash
Mouth are known for “All Star.” while alt-rock’s Toad the Wet Sprocket
had a string of chart-toppers, including “Walk on the Ocean.” The
summer series continues with a UFC Fight Week concert July 10, Canadian
rockers Theory of a Deadman July 18, Spin Doctors and Cherry Poppin’
Daddies Aug. 1 and a Labor Day weekend double-header of Kansas and Blue
Oyster Cult Sept. 6. With
