’70s

Olivia Newton-John The ’70s belonged to Olivia Newton-John. From “I Honestly Love You” to song after song from the 1978 mega-hit “Grease,” Newton- John embodied the more wholesome side of the otherwise disco-obsessed decade. She still looks and sounds fab, and if you close your eyes, you can picture her as Sandy — minus John Travolta.

Alabama With more than 40 No. 1 singles, including “I Love That Mountain Music” and “Dixieland Delight,” Alabama changed the face of country music with its trademark combo of country and Southern rock. So don your big belt buckle and cowboy hat, tease your hair, and get ready to sing along.

Charlie Daniels At 78, Daniels is still going strong. Over the course of his 50-year career, he has scored hits on the rock, country, pop and Christian charts. And if you need a reminder of Daniels’ greatness, check out the classic John Travolta/Debra Winger flick “Urban Cowboy,” featuring Daniels’ memorable song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

’80s

Styx Hair extensions anyone? Defying the laws of time, Styx band members still rock the long hair of their ’70s and ’80s days. A band out of Chicago known for power ballads such as “Come Sail Away” and “Mr. Roboto,” Styx was one of the biggest arena rock headlining groups in America back in the day. And if the hair is any indicator, they’re still rockin’ it.

Mötley Crüe They put the metal in heavy metal, and now Mötley Crüe is going out with guns blazing in their final “All Bad Things Must Come to an End” tour. This is your last time to see the hard rockers — who helped usher in the “hair band” trend of the 1980s and scored hits with songs such as “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Home Sweet Home.”

’90s

Boyz II Men Boyz II Men were huge in the 1990s, and few groups scored more hits during the course of the decade. Their 1992 single “End of the Road” topped the charts all over the world and became the single biggest Motown hit ever, and that’s a label with a lot of hits. They’re no longer “boyz,” but they still put on a great show.
