Nellis Air Force Base will present Nevada’s largest free outdoor event, Aviation Nation 2017, on Nov.11 and 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 5p.m. Families can enjoy an open house featuring an array of both static displays and aerial acts, including an flight by U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds at their home base. The Thunderbirds team museum is located inside their hangar. This event will be the Air Combat Command’s closing celebration for the United States Air Force’s 70th birthday. Admission, security lines and free public parking with round-trip shuttle bus transportation will be located at the nearby Las Vegas Motor Speedway. nellis.af.mil/air-show/.
