shredded and recycled. For this event, Surterre and the local community’s commitment to ProShred’s environmentally conscious shredding and recycling service saved 49 trees.
A free service to the public held on a quarterly basis in two different areas of Orange County, Surterre’s eWaste drives offer individuals an easy opportunity to keep our planet and its landfills clean. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to bring those old electronics they don’t know what to do with (clunky television sets, fax machines, printers, and the like), and paper to be shredded by ProShred to these events where they will be collected and recycled. Best of all, participants don’t even have to leave their car. There are no forms to complete, and any stored data will be safely and completely eradicated.
“Our eWaste drives are just one way that we uphold our commitment to preserving the environment while helping the community,” explained Paula Ansara-Wilhelm, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Surterre Properties. “This recent event saw over 100 cars come through to drop off waste for recycling – an impressive turnout. We’re thrilled at how well-received these drives continue to be.”
In addition to sparing landfills from undesirables, the eWaste drives raise money, which is donated in its entirety to Earth Resource Foundation, a not-for-profit organization designed to educate the public on a variety of “green” issues.
