HOME FOR FORMER FOSTER GIRLS PROFILED IN NEW FIRST TEAM CAMPAIGN

The Teen Project, an Orange County home for young women aged out of foster care, is the subject of a new campaign launched last month by First Team Real Estate. Focusing on the profound, positive impact First Team agents make in their clients’ lives, “My Story” features First Team clients sharing stories of how their agents helped them solve problems, overcome challenges or reach personal or professional goals. The stories are presented in short, documentary-style videos created by award-winning filmmaker Tasha Oldham and appear on the company’s website, YouTube and other video webhosts.

In the current video, The Teen Project, Inc., Founder Lauri Burns shares her story of her mission to buy a home for former foster youth after learning that 65% of foster children are released from care at age 18 without a home to return to. First Team agent Lora Rosenfeld-Steindler helped Burns find a home in Lake Forest. Local builders renovated the home at no or reduced cost. Rosenfeld-Steindler donated $14,000 toward furnishing its six bedrooms. In addition to housing, the Teen Project helps residents secure funding for higher education and provides medical services and skills to help them gain independence.
