“happily ever after” life is awaiting Eric and Cassaundra Ashley, recently married and now beginning their futures together in their first-ever home at Baker Ranch, the new scenic and recreational-oriented community set within the foothills of Lake Forest.

Created through a partnership between Shea Homes and Toll Brothers, two of the nation’s premier homebuilders, Baker Ranch currently offers a total of six different neighborhoods with brand new homes priced from the low $500,000s to over $1 million -- and NO MELLO-ROOS fees.

Eric, a marketing supervisor, and Cassaundra, an instructor for healthcare, grew up in Irvine where they attended the same high school yet actually met through a social networking site, which led to a date for coffee, which turned into lunch, and then dinner, and finally --- marriage, two years ago. Now living in an apartment in Irvine,

the Ashley’s began their search for a new home over a year ago.

“wewant afamily and every choice we make is for our future children,” said Cassaundra. “we’ve been saving for a while and originally thought we’d live in Irvine, but we found ourselves squeezed-out. we looked around yet just didn’t feel like we were getting the most for our money - especially when we compared everything to Baker Ranch. After touring Baker Ranch during the grand opening, walking through all the model homes, we selected a home in the Brook land neighborhood by Shea Homes. This is our first home -the place where we will begin our family.”

Since purchasing their new home, the Ashley’s have been visiting the community nearly every weekend, watching the construction progress of their home and all the parks now open in Baker Ranch.

“wereally love the location of

Baker Ranch,” said Cassaundra. “The community is on ahilltop so we have panoramic views of the rolling hills and ridgelines. we’re near the sand volleyball court, barbeque grills, and grassy areas of Passage Park and we’re just down street from The Grove clubhouse and pools. Plus, we have trails nearby which lead to the regional open spaces. Compared to homes bought by some of our friends in other parts of Orange County, we’re getting so much more -- especially when we consider the fact that we don’t have to pay any Mello-Roos taxes.”

Added Cassaundra: “we can already imagine our children playing at the pools of The Grove or on the play structures at the other parks. we’re looking forward to hiking the trails, exploring all the open spaces and growing our family within this brand new community.”

Also completed is The Arbors with its pool and lounging area, covered cabanas, wading

pool, fireplaces, and spa. Next door to The Arbors is an expansive neighborhood park with large turf area and climbing structure while just around the corner and down the street are Passage Park and Odyssey Park, two additional neighborhoods parks now open and featuring barbeques, picnic areas, swings, and kid’s climbing structures.

And, preparing for its official grand opening within the next few months is Baker Ranch Community Park with its athletic fields, a community green surrounded by picnic and grill pavilions, a children’s tot lot, a basketball court and an elaborate play structure with a climbing rock.

“Baker Ranch is in a great, central part of Orange County,” said Cassaundra. “It’s near lots of shops, restaurants, professional and medical services.

It’s close to our jobs and family. And, it’s in the Saddleback valley Unified School District,

Eric and Cassaundra Ashley are building their futures at the new, scenic community of Baker Ranch

which means that our children will have access to State Distinguished and Blue-Ribbon Award winning schools. we see our future here at Baker Ranch.”
