Stately Victorian believed to be the second oldest house in Orange

This

stately twostory Victorian was lovingly restored in 2008. The trellis and English gardens accent the charm of this rare home, built circa 1886.

The front porch has period colored glass in the doors, transoms and windows. The formal entry features 10-foot ceilings, vertical grain Douglas fir floors and french beveled doors.

The parlor is adorned with period wood fixtures, and the living/dining room has one of the oldest converted gas lamps in town. Stick-and-ball fretwork and the fireplace

with cherry wood surround serves as the room’s focal point. The kitchen has Bosch appliances and a replica of a Hearst Castle fan/light on a stainless egg/dart ceiling. The great room has an egg/dart anodized copper ceiling. The newer batten-board barn has a garage with

pull-down storage, and the “Tack Room” has dual- Dutch doors, stained concrete floors, rough-sawn wood walls with tongueand-groove knotty pine ceilings and R30 insulation, a ceiling fan, period lighting and wet sink.
