Over 53 cars stopped by to drop off electronic waste and landfill “no-no’s,” and 32 cars participated in document shredding. A free service to the public held on a quarterly basis in four different areas of Orange County, Surterre’s eWaste and documentshredding drives offer individuals an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted electronics and papers. Surterre agents and volunteers worked with All Green Electronics Recycling to help collect the eWaste and make ecofriendliness easier. In addition, ProShred provided on-site paper shredding and recycled the shreds. Surterre’s eWaste drives offer a convenient way for locals to keep our planetand its landfills clean. Everyone is encouraged to bring old electronics (TVs, fax machines, printers, etc.) and documentsfor recycling. No forms need to be completed, and any stored data is completely eradicated.
