Situated along some of the highest elevations of rancho mission Viejo, the neighborhoods of esencia are terraced into west-facing hillsides to afford coastal views and backcountry panoramas.

The first collection of hillside neighborhoods slated to open at esencia include eight neighborhoods for homebuyers of all ages and life stages as well as four Gavilan neighborhoods of primarily singlestory homes for the 55-plus
