This
holiday season, Surterre Properties® is
upholding its commitment to giving back in
a unique and touching way: by furnishing
homes for wounded veterans and their families.
Although
wounded veterans are provided
with military housing, the residences are
empty when they’re discharged from the
hospital—no furnishings, no comforts of a true home.
Because many of these wounded vets are amputees
or suffering with cancer, setting up a home can be
an overwhelming task.
Through
a partnership with Furnishing Hope, anonprofit organization that provides furnishings
and home goods to wounded military heroes,
Surterre has set a goal of fully outfitting a total of
five homes with furnishings and housewares. Below
are four ways you can help the luxury real estate
brokerage reach that objective.
1. Purchase housewares via Surterre’s Target registry.
Purchase items in-store and drop them off at Surterre’s
Newport Beach headquarters or its Monarch Beach
or San Clemente offices.
2. Donate gift cards. Gift cards from Wal-Mart, Target,
TJ Maxx HomeGoods or Costco are preferred by
Furnishing Hope.

3. Donate cash. To make a cash donation, simply
write a check to Furnishing Hope.

4. Purchase furniture or mattresses. For those interested
in making a more substantial donation, Furnishing
Hope needs brand new mattresses and brand new
furniture—and they’ve negotiated discounted prices
with Living Spaces. (Email Elizabeth Pahlavan at
epahlavan@surterreproperties.com to learn more
about this option.)
By
making a donation to this very worthy cause,
you’ll help make the holiday season merry and
bright for a veteran and his family. Know others
who would love to contribute to Surterre’s Holiday
Drive? Please spread the word—just keep in mind
that all donations must be received by December 11.
