“San Diego’s Best” Poll Winners Revealed: Aug. 22
Once all the votes are tallied and verified, we will announce the winners in a special edition that appears in print and online.
March 21. During this phase, we are people, goods and services that you asking you to nominate the places, rate as tops in San Diego. (See page 4 for the list of categories.) For this silver anniversary year, you will see some San Diego notables sharing their top picks as well.
In 2020, we recognized some of San Diego’s local heroes and plan to do so again this year. These are people who have been on the front lines during the pandemic, helping their fellow San Diegans each and every day. We want to give some well-deserved recognition, which will be part of the voting phase in May and June. As we have done for the past 24 years, we will be adding new categories this year requested by readers.
After the nominations are in, we tally and verify them, then open the voting phase. You, our readers, are key to the whole process. It is your voice — and vote — that determine the winners. In this 25th year, we are hoping you will help us make this the biggest poll ever, with more than 200 categories spanning a wide range of businesses and services.
From all of us at The San Diego Union-Tribune, we appreciate your support and thank you in advance for your participation in this year’s SD Best Readers Poll, the longest-running poll of its kind in the county.
