Salud is a Mexican food eatery that originated in San Diego’s historic Barrio Logan, just minutes from Chicano Park. Salud is pure Southern California, from the tattoo-inspired murals to the pinstripe car hoods on the walls. The restaurant’s menu pays homage to the street food of Northern Mexico and has traditional roots with its own Chicano flare. The tacos of Salud have been featured by the Travel Channel, the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. Salud also offers award-winning catering that brings the flavors people love straight to their events. The catering is laidback and operates from a self-sufficient mobile taco cart that is perfect for any backyard boogie, corporate affair or wedding reception.

Most meats are cooked onsite and in front of guests. Salud uses 100 percent mesquite when grilling its famous carne asada and has the ability to fry its renowned beer-battered fish tacos and signature tortilla chips at the event, as well. In other words, Salud brings the taco shop to the fiesta. Salud is “the king of all tacos.”
