Just off Interstate 15 in Carmel Mountain Ranch lies this hidden gem, inside an unassuming business park. Koi Zen Cellars’ inviting tasting room and event space allows guests to relax and enjoy the moment with a glass of wine, music on the weekends or a wine-tasting class during the week.

Koi Zen Cellars specializes in big, bold red wines. This craft winery produces local and international award-winning wines using quality fruit sourced from Central and Northern California.

“If you start with highest quality grapes you have a fighting chance to make a decent wine,” said winemaker Darius Miller, who is part owner of Koi Zen Cellars with his wife, Lisa. This husband-and-wife team followed a dream seven years ago, building not only a winery, but a community of wine lovers.
