Dr. Sanjay Khurana is a board-certified and fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation, and spinal reconstruction who currently serves as the Chief of Surgery at Commons Clinic. Dr. Khurana has been educated and trained at the premier institutions in the United States, completing his undergraduate work at UC Berkeley, doctorate of medicine and orthopaedic residency at Stanford University, and specialty spine fellowship training at the prestigious University of Miami/Jackson Memorial/Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Dr. Khurana has been in private practice in Los Angeles for 20-plus years, performing over 9,000 spine surgeries and developing a reputation as the “doctor’s doctor” and one of the most respected spine surgeons regionally and nationally. He holds patents in spine surgery, has published spine surgery research in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international meetings.
