Armstrong Garden Centers is celebrating the arrival of fall with a variety of classes and in-store events, including all-you-can-carry pumpkin festivities. The first of the fall events will be Gardenfest, a familyfriendly celebration that will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, at all 31 store locations throughout California. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers, refreshments and wine, all while checking out Armstrong Garden Centers’ best fall flowers, plants and pumpkins. A water-wise gardening class will also be taught during the event. Armstrong Garden Centers is also expected to debut an All-You-Can-Carry Pumpkin Weekend from Oct. 17 to Oct. 19. Customers who carry the most pumpkins at a time will have their pictures posted on Twitter @armstronggarden and the Armstrong Garden Centers Facebook page. “This is such a great time of year for people as temperatures aren’t usually as
warm as during the summer and the beautiful fall foliage reveals itself
to us, even here in the Golden State,” said Eric Asakawa, Armstrong
Garden Centers Regional Manager. “We encourage everyone to come into one
of our stores and take part in our free educational classes, enjoy our
exciting new fall event and be ready to show us your stuff as you try to
carry as many pumpkins as you can.” For more information, visit www.armstronggarden. com. See also
