The Fret House has been an independently owned music store in downtown Covina since 1969 and the sponsor of weekly live concerts.

Coming to the Fret House at 8 p.m. Oct. 20, Burgan & Chan will bring classic folk-based Americana to the charming basement venue below the store. The group includes Jerry Burgan, co-founder of We Five -- best known for their pioneering folk-rock hits, You Were On My Mind and Get Together.

Joined by Debbie Burgan, also a graduate of the 1960s folk scene and We Five’s lead singer for five of their seven albums, they’ve been delighting audiences at major concert venues—and intimate clubs—ever since.

Joining will be long-time friend, bassist and humorist, Tholow Chan—a Covina resident who will be home on leave from his duties with Randy Sparks and the New Christy Minstrels.
