
MainStreet Theatre Company presents The Emperor’s Nightingale, based in the tale by Hans Christian Andersen, Saturdays and Sundays, May 4 through 19, with a special added event, Spring Time Tea, 2:15 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Lewis Family Playhouse, Victoria Gardens Cultural Center, Rancho Cucamonga.
The 2nd Community Network at The Graber Olive House will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, featuring no-host wine and local craft beer, and complimentary light refreshments at the historic location, 315 E 4th St., Ontario. There will be hors d’oeuvres, music, raffle, and - of course - Graber Olives. Shops will be open with a variety of fancy foods, food accessories and unique gifts.
Chino Hills resident Paul R. Spitzzeri will present on the history of the Tres Hermanos Ranch, 7 p.m. Monday, May 6 at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive, sponsored by the Chino Hills Historical Society Tres Hermanos Ranch, at nearly 2,500 acres, is the last large piece of undeveloped land in the region and is now in the hands of a joint powers authority involving the Cities of Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, and Industry.
Planes of Fame Air Museum presents the Planes of Fame Air Show, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4-5, with a special commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Featuring over 50 historic aircraft, including the P-47 Thunderbolt, P-38 Lightning and P-51 Mustangs, the event honors the history, contributions and sacrifices of veterans. The Cooper Museum open mic will be 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, and every first Friday of the month weather permitting. Mic shy? Don’t be, just come out for a good time with supportive folks who are open to your music, poetry, comedy or storytelling. Bring some friends, build your confidence and come back every month.
