San Antonio Regional Hospital has been named as one of America’s Best Hospitals by the Women’s Choice Award, which signifies that San Antonio Regional Hospital is one of the top healthcare providers in the country based on a review of nearly 5,000 hospitals.

The methodology for the award combines national accreditations, Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results, and hospital outcome scores with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences.

Women’s Choice is the only award recognizing service excellence based on criteria that consider both patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. Additionally, each service line award has supplementary criteria that are specific to the service line.

“This award is important since women make 80% of the healthcare decisions for their families, and this includes selecting a hospital,” said Harris Koenig, President and Chief Executive Officer of San Antonio Regional Hospital.
