SVdP permanently housed over 150 homeless men during the past two years

Tyrone slept under the Sixth Street Bridge in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years. His daughter persuaded him to rejoin society, after years of drug and alcohol addiction. Following her advice, he came to live at St. Vincent de Paul of Los Angeles’(SVdP’s) Cardinal Manning Center (CMC) on Skid Row. He got treatment for his addictions, and was helped to locate permanent housing. He has now been sober nine years, and helps mentor other men at the CMC. Over the past two years, SVdP has helped find permanent housing for 150 men. How will you help a homeless person this winter through St. Vincent de Paul? $50 – will support a homeless man for one night at CMC. $350 – will support a homeless man for one week. $1,400 – will support a homeless man for one month. You can also help by donating your used items to our thrift stores in Los Angeles and Long Beach, which support our many programs. Or shop in our thrift stores!
