Nobu Hotel

Come fall, the world’s first Nobu-branded boutique hotel will open inside Caesars Palace. The 180-room Nobu Hotel will reflect Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature Japanese aesthetic and feature the acclaimed sushi-fusion chef’s first in-room dining menu. An 11,200-square-foot Nobu Restaurant and Lounge will feature teppanyaki tables, a sushi bar and private dining area.

High-profile backers include Matsuhisa’s business partner and friend Robert De Niro, who financed Matsuhisa’s New York restaurant.

The opening of the Octavius Tower — the sixth at Caesars Palace — wraps up the hotel’s $860 million renaissance. The opulent Octavius guest rooms — the smallest of which is still a respectable 550 square feet — are decked out in earthy shades and enlivened with tactile pops of velvet and chrome. High-tech features include 42-inch HD televisions and bedside iPod docking stations, and a new mobile app connects guests with the concierge, housekeeping, room service, the valet and the butler at the touch of the tablet.
