Luxor Las Vegas

East Coast super-pub Public House has made its way west to set up shop inside the Luxor. The all-American restaurant decked in stars and stripes spans 7,000 square feet and seats 250 diners and drinkers. The patriotic flair extends to the menu, with mac-and-cheese squares, filet mignon sliders and cheesesteak spring rolls served till 2 a.m. The impressive tap list features a lineup of 40 craft brews, which pair well with the game screening on the 14-foot-wide wall of TVs above the bar.

Golden Gate Hotel & Casino

Golden Gate Hotel & Casino recently celebrated its 75 anniversary with its first major renovation in five decades. The 122-room boutique hotel has added a five-story luxury tower with 16 suites — some named in honor of members of the Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. stayed and played at the Golden Gate in the ’50s). Modern in-suite amenities include 50-inch flat-screen TVs, California king beds and motion sensors for climate control. The expanded casino features a new high-limit pit where guests can wager up to $3,000 a hand. The renovated lobby displays artifacts from the hotel’s history.
