Fall Fun on Fremont
Score big at the Golden Nugget this autumn
Has there ever been an international bestseller in more dire need of a good spanking? This fall, a hilarious parody at the Golden Nugget puts “Fifty Shades of Grey” in its place with “Spank!
The Musical” — the sendup it was practically begging for.
Already a touring hit
across North America and Australia, “Spank!” will play the Golden
Nugget’s intimate Showroom Oct. 18 to Nov. 9, bringing all the risqué
joys of the sensational best-selling book to life, embellished with
mirthful musical interludes featuring original lyrics set to classic
show tunes.
“‘Spank!
The Musical’ is a perfect blend of music, action and spicy humor that
everyone from bachelorette parties to couples will enjoy,” said Amy
Chasey, vice president of marketing and advertising for the Golden
Nugget.
Featuring
improvisation, audience interaction and plenty of surprises, the sharp
and steamy “Spank!” is a funny and exciting girls’ night out (and will
give husbands and boyfriends a good laugh too).
It’s
no surprise that the Golden Nugget has staked a claim to this
sure-to-behuge show. By all estimations, the resort seems to be winning a
campaign to turn downtown into a destination that makes Vegas visitors
forget all about the Strip.
The
Golden Nugget is the most opulent resort on downtown Las Vegas’ vibrant
Fremont Street Experience. With the unveiling of its $150 million
500-room Rush Tower in 2009, the landmark property now offers over 2,400
deluxe guest rooms and suites.
Then there’s the resort’s high-energy, historic casino, where the $300,000 Great American Cash & Car Giveaway is building to
its nail-biting climax. Participants earn tickets by playing slots,
table games, keno and poker; by betting in the Golden Nugget Race &
Sports Book; and with every hotel stay. At drawings every Wednesday and
Saturday, 50 winners will each receive $100 cash and qualify for the
grand prize drawing on Sept. 21, when three players will win a new
Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado or Equinox.
The
fall fun continues Oct. 3 to 5, when guests can earn tickets for a
chance to win a one-off chopper designed by lauded local custom shop
Counts Kustoms. The head-turning bike, which featured on the History
Channel’s “Counting Cars,” will be given away on Fremont Street on Oct. 5
at 10:30 p.m., during Las Vegas Bikefest (must be present to win).
