Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) is a youth-focused, 501(c)(3) nonprofit aimed at empowering all teens with a positive mindset and enabling them to effectively cope with crisis, adversity and tough decisions. The center’s mission is to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, kind, happy, and responsible individuals.

TLC’s program empowers teens by teaching life skills that build confidence and inspires compassion, and encourages them to set goals, continue their education, build a future career and pursue their dreams. Using experiential learning, including journal writing, open discussions, and activities, the classes promote self-discovery and cover relevant topics in a safe and caring environment. TLC equips teens with the tools they need to make the right choices.

Target outcomes of the program focus on emotional intelligence, executive functions, coping with stress, self-esteem, resilience, and mindfulness. Rooted in the theories of mindset and positive psychology, TLC ‘s curriculum helps teens move towards a growth mindset, so they can ultimately find happiness and success.
