About Us
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. Every year, your donations help thousands of abused and neglected animals through animal cruelty investigations. Animals in our care receive veterinary attention, nutrition, and TLC while on their way to loving homes. spcaLA’s violence prevention programs assist survivors of domestic violence, and underserved youth. With your help, we can increase empathy for animals and people in our community.
