ENTERTAINMENT EVERYWHERE

Living in the Entertainment Capital of the World, I get asked about shows a lot. There are many great productions to choose from, so travelers headed to town are wise to seek out expert advice. While I could go on and on about the city’s many stellar productions, there are a few acts I always recommend.

Celine Dion’s hit residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is my favorite Vegas production (www.thecolosseum.com). Even if you don’t consider yourself a fan of her music, the elegant show should be at the top of every visitor’s must-see list because Dion’s powerful vocals are simply unmatched.

David Copperfield is another one of my longtime favorites (www.mgmgrand.com/en/entertainment/david-copperfield.html). Every time I see his show at MGM Grand I am amazed by the jaw-dropping illusions, which include making a 30-foot-tall dinosaur appear out of thin air!

For those looking to laugh, I promise you no act in town will make you laugh harder than Carrot Top (www.luxor.com/en/entertainment/carrottop.html).

It’s hard to get people to trust me on this recommendation, but not one person I know who has seen Carrot Top’s sidesplitting show at Luxor didn’t love it. I always say there are two types of people in this world: those who think Carrot Top is a joke and those who have seen him live before and realize what a comedy genius he truly is. Trust me — he’s hilarious!

Luxor is also home to one of my other favorite shows, Blue Man Group (www.blueman.com/vegas). The show is filled with great music and plenty of laughs, and it’s impossible to leave the euphoric production without a smile on your face.

It’s hard to go wrong with Las Vegas entertainment. Just being here is a sign that a production is top quality. These shows never disappoint.
