Andrew K. Walsh Partner Hueston Hennigan LLP LMU Loyola Law School LITIGATION Andrew Walsh is a partner of Hueston Hennigan who represents clients in complex civil business disputes, high-stakes environmental and entertainment litigation, and white-collar criminal actions, in both state and federal court. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, governments, and individuals in a variety of industries, including energy, environmental services, and media and entertainment. Walsh represents the Navajo Nation in federal multi-district litigation against the USEPA, its contractors, and mining companies for damages arising out of the unprecedented acid mine wastewater spill from the Gold King Mine near Silverton, Colorado in August 2015. This spill released more than three million gallons of contaminated water, and the toxic plume coursed into the San Juan River, which is a primary water source for the Navajo Nation. Most recently, his determined strategy led to the decisive ruling that the EPA’s contractors cannot escape before trial based on a derivative sovereign immunity defense. See also
