Timothy Yoo has already established himself as a go-to intellectual property trial lawyer in his young career, particularly for Asian companies seeking to traverse cross-border disputes and tech companies seeking to resolve their most complicated technical matters, especially those involving the Asia-Pacific region. Fluent in Korean, he co-heads Bird Marella's Korea Practice and is a member of the firm's Entertainment Practice Group, where he advises entertainment and technology companies on defending and asserting their intellectual property rights in the United States.

Yoo is currently defending BTS, one of the most prominent and most influential musical acts in the world, and its media company HYBE, in a copyright infringement action in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Yoo also advises Yeezy LLC, Kanye West's company, in all aspects of its IP portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and design and utility patents.
