Friends of the Claremont Library’s Antiquarian/Fine Book Sale will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Claremont Library Meeting Room, 108 Harvard Ave.

Available are books published by specialty printers, some rare and very valuable, as well as children’s books, old and newer with beautiful illustrations, as well as collections of early and later classics in the fields of history, sociology, biology, botany, psychology and religion.

Specialties include Civil War, Indian history and arts, classics of Greece, Rome, Egypt and the Far East. Available also are books about California history, birding, wildflowers and natural habitat.

There are first editions and fine reprints of significant and classic works of literature. And a number of works have been autographed by their authors or illustrators.

The real specialty is beautiful books of art and artists , ceramics, painting and sculpture, photography, museum shows – all the fine arts.
