The Upland Foothill Kiwanis Club is accepting nominations for its annual Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year. The recipient needs to be at least 65 years of age and be a resident of Upland, Ontario, Montclair, Chino or Rancho Cucamonga.

The recipient shall have performed some type of service to the community while a senior that should be given special recognition.

This might be the sharing of a talent, intense and positive support of community activities, an essential role in a civic accomplishment, a life of such richness, fulfillment and service as to be truly inspirational, or through any other qualities which would make this individual outstanding.

Normally the service recognized is not part of a paid fulltime position. Members of the Upland Foothill Kiwanis Club are not eligible.

The award will be made at the club’s 53rd Senior Citizens Holiday Party on Sunday, Dec. 6, at Upland High School.

Nomination should be made by anyone or any organization in letter format addressing the criteria mentioned above.
