Annette M. Walker serves as president of City of Hope Orange County, where she is leading a historic effort to transform cancer care across one of the nation’s most populous counties. Since opening City of Hope’s first Orange County location in 2020, she has overseen the development of a $1.5-billion academic cancer campus in Irvine, including the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and the region’s only cancer specialty hospital, set to open in 2025. Walker’s vision has expanded access to nationally ranked care for more than 32,000 patients, bringing groundbreaking research and clinical trials closer to home. A two-time Modern Healthcare honoree as one of the most influential leaders in U.S. health care, she previously held executive roles at Providence St. Joseph Health and St. Joseph Health. She currently chairs the CEO Leadership Alliance of Orange County and serves on multiple nonprofit and educational boards.
