As founder and CEO of Foster Love, Danny Mendoza has led the organization from a grassroots initiative to one of the nation’s most influential nonprofits serving foster youth. Under his leadership, Foster Love supports over 155,000 children annually and, in 2024, celebrated serving its one-millionth child. Mendoza has forged high-impact partnerships, including a landmark $1-million deal with Safelite, expanding the organization’s capacity to deliver life-changing resources nationwide. His advocacy extends to the global stage, where he advises policymakers and nonprofit leaders on strategies that center youth voices and improve system outcomes. He also founded Techether, where his Ella platform – adopted by dozens of government agencies – sets a new standard for digital support in child welfare. Deeply rooted in Orange County, Mendoza collaborates locally while shaping national policy. Recent accolades include being named a finalist for the Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award and receiving Supervisor Doug Chaffee’s Kindness Award.
